Well, I made it through the weekend listening minimally to any recorded music. I can't say it was easy, especially in the car. It's so automatic to immediately start monkeying with the radio once the car is rolling.
Luckily for me, my weekend was filled with live music...so it was nice to break into the experiment slowly. On Friday I saw the Minnesota Orchestra do their thing in an all Sibelius concert. Wonderful concert, specifically the encore of Finlandia with the chorus singing the hymn. Completely amazing.
The next day I had orchestra rehearsal where ironically we spent a good deal of time rehearsing Finlandia. Then on Sunday I had an orchestra concert. East Metro Symphony Orchestra if anyone is wondering (or wants to join...).
So, overall in this experiment not missing recorded music too much yet. We'll see what this week entails....
